Mother’s Day

Hey everybody! First off, thanks to everyone who keeps becoming a fan of TNG Photography on Facebook. I’ve been really busy lately! Weddings, bridals, Eagle scouts, families, kids, seniors, engagement photos, etc.  Here is one of my favorite images from the past few weeks. This is Natalie and her one week old son, Ashton. Call me a girl but I love these kinds of photos…and not just because I took it. :) I love emotional portraiture. It’s a great feeling to know that in a few generations from now when I’m long gone, hopefully the portraits I’ve made of people are still around to be enjoyed and remembered. As Albert Einstein once said, “A photograph never grows old. You and I change, people change all through the months and years, but a photograph always remains the same.” Ok! On to the portrait!

Music of the Afternoon

I have a confession. I love classical music. Have you ever met a 25 year old who likes opera? We’re few and far between but we exist…lurking in the shadows with our sweaters over our heads… hahah I kid. Anyway, I thought it’d be fun if once and a while I posted a song (no matter what the type) on here that I’m currently addicted to.

People think it’s weird that I like opera. Shoot, I even think its weird. haha Most people have probably heard it, enjoyed it an didn’t realize that it was opera they were listening to. For anyone interested in listening to it, I suggest starting with light voices. I call it POPer (Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli, Russell Watson, Il Divo, Amici Forever, etc. etc.). They have great voices but they are geared towards the every day public. Eventually you’ll like their music and get curious about the likes of Pavarotti, Bjorling, Domingo, Sherrill Milnes and all those other guys that most people have never heard of.

Ok, here’s my submission for the week!

Singer is Natalie Dessay. I think anyone can appreciate this song and Natalie’s insanely amazing voice and range. She’s very good.
Feel free to comment and post songs you enjoy!
